Cantiga: Guestbook

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing you perform again. I just bought "Otter's Pond" and "A Village In Motion". You're all amazing musicians, and always my favorite part of the Ren. Festival. Your violin player is amazing and can do things with that violin that I've never heard before! Keep the music coming for many years!
Thanks,
Renee

Your Magic Steps CD is my favorite! I bought it at the Sterling, NY Renfair several years ago, when we heard you live and were most impressed, indeed!! I'm an elementary school librarian, and am planning a Medieval Feast on January 26, 2011. I would probably like to buy another CD for background music. Wish you were here!

In the ever mounting tedium that life heaps on us, we relish the sparks of wonder that delight and re-nourish our love of life. Time with that special someone, a special song, a wondrous band, a glass of joy, a joyful dance. Such a culmination, a dream alive, for yet another Spring! Thank to you Cantiga, weavers of dreams!
We're So much looking forward to seeing you at BARF this year!

I saw you guys play Easter. We have requested your presence at our wedding MAy 23rd. I feel it is a blessing. I was touched by music at Scarborough in a way I have not been before. I am delighted to be awakened to music that respects the silence. GOOD SHOW! I look forward to seeing you!

It was such a pleasure to finally see you at the Bay Area Ren Fest this afternoon. All the other musicians (Jerry, Brad, Jim, etc...) had highly recommended you, so of course we had to go hear the band that all the other bands wanted to see. =) Thank you so much for such a lovely performance, and we will definitely be enjoying your music until we can see you again next year!

Once again our special day came together and we were able to spend it with our friends at Sterling.
Already our plans are being made for our 2009 visit to once again hear the music we heard on that day so long ago when we fell in love. And as always, we'll make our requests and you'll honor them not even knowing that each piece you play for us represents some special memory in our relationship.
Martha, Bob, Alex, Charry, we thank you for all you have given and look forward to seeing you many many more times.

Saludos Charry.
Jim

We love listening to you guys every year at Sterling. I've never checked out your website til today and was wondering if you guys have any plans to reissue some of your older albums in digital format. We have them on cassettes and its only a matter of time til that format is as obsolete as the 8 track. it would be nice to see the older stuff on the rack at Sterling again.....

I saw you guys at the Renn festival in Sterling this weekend, as I do every year. I sat there, taking in the green canopy of trees, looking around and listening to your beautiful music. I really felt like that was what I came for. I bought your CD so I can retreat to my happy place any time I want.

I started going to the Renaissance Festival in 1999. I discovered you there. Every year I make a point to see you. Your music is wonderful and lulls me into relaxation. As a big fan of harpist's, I love seeing Martha. Good luck in the coming years. I can't wait to see you next year.

Hi Martha!
I am still teaching choral music and living in Russellville, Arkansas. I hope that I get to see you at Sterling
(if I can afford the gas to visit with Barby Holder this summer). Does Bob still live in Hot Springs? I will be
there for teacher meetings Aug. 1-3. I like to eat
at Bohemia Resturant once a year. Great German food!
Do you get back to Clear Lake much? I miss Texas and all
the fairs. This website is super! juliet the harpsinger

Michelle, my wife Faye and I both read all of your blog. Your comments are so candid and honest and very funny. Thank you for taking the time to share them. I hope they get published somewhere sometime so more readers will get to enjoy them and hear how behind-the-scenes Rennaisance People live. I have also seen your art and heard your music. You are quite the Renaissance Lady. Thank you.

We are ecstatic at the thought of sitting with you soon to enjoy the return of the magic!
The return of cool Autumn breezes and Cantiga always make this our favorite time of year.

This was our third year in Sterling and it was one of the best yet. Cantiga has become apart of our lives, both my wife and I spent many sessions listening in and it was wonderful. Michelle was a great addition and once again Cantiga has placed the faire deep in our hearts until next year.
Thank you for coming into our lives and opening our eyes and ears to some exceptional tunes.

I visit Sterling every year to experience Cantiga. This year was the best by far. I didn't think anyone could stand in for my favorite fiddler, but Michelle stole the show without upstaging the rest of the band. She is supreme!
"Martha's Dragon" is a magnificent CD. Fine work!
I am your most bashful fan. See you next year!

I fell asleep a few times listening to Dish Network cd channel, new age, and woke up hearing your music. In my daze I tried to get the name of the band but ended up with every combination but "cantiga". I've heard The Wizard, and The Enchantment of the Faeries, and really liked them. I am going to buy the ONce Upon A Time cd and I hope the rest is as good. I will try to find out if you will be in Colorado soon so I can see the band. I really like your music.

I saw you all perform at the MOSI RenFest this past weekend. I was very pleased! I love your simple yet deeply emotional approach to the music. I bought Otter's Pool and the CD hasn't come out of the CD player since I left the Faire on Sunday! I spoke to Michelle after you played Spooky Medly that afternoon, and I wish I had been able to talk longer. You're awesome, Michelle! I truly hope I get to see you all again in the future. Keep up the great music, Cantiga!

I like Carol's March 7 comments. Yes, Carol, you are right! Cantiga alone is worth the price of admission. My experience has proven that they are worth far more than the price of admission. Cantiga/New World Renaissance Band is "the best" Renaissance musical group on the planet.a

Congratulations to Mark on the new baby! I bought a studio program and I'm delighted with my early efforts (with your permission) in mixing Cantiga music with Brother Donald stories. Cantiga was the best thing about the Florida Renaissance Festival this past weekend. Your group alone made the price of admission worthwhile, and I'm now basking in the afterglow by listening to "Martha's Dragon." Thank you for a real treat!

It's been a fantastic experience watching you perform every week at the Deerfield Beach RenFest, and I am still incredibly honored that you all took the time to talk with me one-on-one (four-on-one?) about your music. I look forward to seeing you all again at the final weekend of the Festival, and hope that our paths will cross again soon thereafter.

Wanderful new homepage! Congratulation. It's well done. Very light and joy to look at, also very clear orientation. :-)
I know your music for long time even I heard your work more on Owain Phyfe CD's which I ordered some time before and they are still my numb. 1 for listening. Lol! This MP3s you added to your pages are delight to listen and specialy if I think that it was recorded during life performance. It's perfect! (Martha's harp is very inspirating for me personaly :-) ) Wishing you a lot of joy and planty of good music.

Your music is VERY hard to find! I guess you just sell directly from your web site? I hear it on "Sirius" in the dental office where I work. I've been looking for your stuff for over a year! Happy that my crappy computer stayed on line long enough to find you. Looking forward to "Once Upon A Time". I just bought it
